Siesta ~ School Uniform
Zero no Tsukaima

Inspiration: This costume was just another chapter of mine and Meru’s Siesta/Louise saga. I love making capes and when Meru brought me back an official Zero no Tsukaima brooch from Japan, it was on!

Materials/Construction Details: This costume was simple to make. The cape is made out of black suiting lined in garnet satin. I followed a basic cape pattern that included a hood. The grey fabric used in the skirt was custom dyed by Meru, and I followed her pleating instructions in great detail so our skirts matched as best as possible despite us being miles apart while constructing these. I bought a white dress shirt from a thrift shop and modified it to fit better, and of course the brooch pulls it all together.

Wig: I used the same Siesta wig I used for my other outfits of hers. It was originally purchased from amphigory.com. However, this time I cut the bangs shorter.
