Wet Hot American Summer

Inspiration: Wet Hot American summer is a hilarious movie! Since I was going to Play On Con (a convention that takes place at a summer camp, much like the movie), I decided I wanted to cosplay from it.

Materials/Construction Details: Most of this costume was a lucky find at a thrift shop. The blouse had to be shortened and taken it to make it fit better, and the sleeves had to be hemmed shorter, but the pattern on the short was almost spot on! The necklace was made out of hemp cord and wooden beads.

Wig: I used my Shadowcat wig for this costume. I put the two braids in the front, tied them off with orange rubber bands, and mussed up the hair to make it a little more wild looking.

Prop: We each carried around a book, one titled “Astrophysics” and one “Camp Directing”.
