Thunder Girl
Action League Now

Inspiration: Action League Now was a funny segment in the 90s show KaBlam!, which I watched when I was younger. I had forgotten all about it, but when I was reminded earlier this year, I thought it would be a great idea for a cosplay group! I wondered how many other people would remember the show, but I was pleasantly surprised by the great reaction we got at Dragon Con.

Materials/Construction Details: To make Thunder Girl, I basically made another bunny suit, complete with steel boning to give it structure. I made the trim at the top of the suit with metallic gold spandex. I attached two magnets to the lining layer of the suit and used those to hold on the large lightning bolt on the front. I made that bolt, the bracers, the necklace pendant, and the bolts on the boots out of worbla. I was able to purchase a pair of Wonder Woman boots which already had gold trim along the top. I only had to super glue the lighting bolts to the sides to finish them.

Wig: The wig is a Lindsay from Arda in titanium blonde. This was a lace front wig, which makes it look more natural. The wig arrived with tighter curls, but with a bit of brushing, the wig was thick, full of body, and ready to go!
